Zambian fast rising independent male vocalist and songwriter – Kayz Adams, who is mostly known for his chorus in the song “Mpawi” from the Boogeyman album by Jemax, recently posted on his social media handle that the only real rappers her knows are Slapdee and Macky 2. Which means he excludes the rest of the Zambian rapper such as Jemax, Jae Cash, Chef 187, 76 Drums, Dizmo, Muzo Aka Alphonso, Triple M and many others. Well from way back, such posts have never gone well with music fans as some may even insult the person who posted such things on their own social media handles.
This is because people have different artists they love, and some even become cadres of such music. For example, in order to grow the Zambian rap and hip hop industry, Kopala Swag Music founder – Macky 2, who is based in the Copperbelt Province commonly known as Ku Kopala, and Lusaka based legendary rapper – Slapdee, the founder of XYZ Entertainments, agreed to fake a rivalry between them, hence the birth of the Lusaka and Kopala musical war. These artists would drop songs dissing the other people and this went on for years, as it is still happening. Not until a certain music fan was stabbed to death in Matero because of the same, that is how they decided to call it off. Macky 2 and Slapdee have done a number of songs together, but still some people hate each other because of the same. Stay tuned for more updates!!!
